ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Lauren Go.
After first exploring theatre at Phillips Exeter Academy during her high school years, Lauren went on to graduate from Tufts University with a liberal arts education and a BA in Drama. She has some general training in theatre technology, history and playwriting, but her real focus is as an actor and director. She has directed several scene projects and plays, among them The Stonewater Rapture by Doug Wright and Wanda Wasserstein’s short play, Tender Offer. Her most recent acting roles include Macduff, from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, as well as extensive scene work as Prudence, from Christopher Durang’s Beyond Therapy, Ophelia from Hamlet and Karen from The Children’s Hour.
We are the new kids on the block,
a theatre company made up of young, theatre professionals that want to take the stage and do things differently.
We want to do theatre that you've never heard of before,
We want to do the classics, but do them with ingenuity,
We want to meet and nurture legitimate, young, up-and-coming talent (both on and back-stage) that have fallen through the cracks;
We see you.
We want our theatre to be:
Accessible
Appealing
Quality
Fun
Nostalgic
Maddening
An experience.
We want to toe the line.
We want to shake things up.
We want to play.
Do you?
She also spent four glorious years as a member of the Traveling Treasure Trunk, Tufts’ children’s theatre troupe that travels around the Boston area, performing for children and raising yearly funds to donate to charity.

You can bet that at any given time, we are working on two or more things at once. We aim to have four productions per season, 2 of which fulfill our promise of new and interesting theatre, and 2 of which are larger, full-scale productions. All of our shows strive to remind us all of the qualities that make truly great theatre.
Negotiations are in the works for a production of Almost, Maine by John Cariani. Set in the fictional town of Almost in the New England state of Maine in the United States, the play is made of eight ten-minute, two-person scenes. With a subtly whimsical voice and snappy dialogue, you will soon find yourself fighting
off both laughter and the warm and fuzzies.
The play Fifty Words by Michael Weller is in our incubator. A two-person drama about a man and wife with the first night to themselves since their son was born nine years ago, chemistry sizzles, blood is spilled, and a hamster goes on a sleepover on Staten Island.
It’s a wonder that two people who live together can have so much catching up to do.
We aim to build a theatre company around quality acting and talent. We are continually working on new projects and are always looking for new faces. Hidden gems can come from just about anywhere.
